A PLANT DYE WORKSHOP AND TEA TASTING WITH BLUE HOUR GOODS

in HIGHLAND PARK 

In this 3 hour workshop led by herbalist Maria Fernanda, you'll learn the basics of natural dye and eco printing. Followed by a tea tasting of the same herbs we will be dyeing with.

This workshop will cover: Full rounded lesson on natural dye including fabric prep & mordants, overview of natural dye plants & how to extract plant dye, each student will create and leave with a one of a kind bundled dyed silk scarf, learn about the history, energetics, and medicinal properties of 2 seasonal herbs and taste each plant in an herbal infusion accompanied by light snacks, and a downloadable PDF with all course materials to go back to afterwards
